OPEN MIC AT WATER WITCH

I forgot to take pictures at last night's Poetry Co-Op Open Mic at the Water Witch Tiki Bar, so I'm improvising with a shot of the sandwich board outside WW.

It was a fine evening, with fresh new audience members and a new poet, Tommy, reading. Beau's car trouble song was the hit of the evening.

Reading, in alphabetical order, were Anthony, Beau, Carri, Claire, Darriea, Marc, Megan, Tommy, and Trinity. DM me if I left someone out and I will edit asap.

Beau and Claire led a group exercise to create a new slogan for the Co-Op, with some hilarious results - will keep you posted on the final choice.

SPRING is in the air! Robins are in the yard, and pollen is on the cars, and it is WARMER!

HAIKU IN THE PARK - February 22, 2025

HAIKU IN THE PARK - Had a great day at the Saturday Artists Market in Forsyth Park today. A little chilly, but it started nicely with good chats with frequent neighbors Jim, who paints pottery (I have one of his mugs) and Patrice, whose Lil' Peach & Co. makes artisanal soaps (I use her coconut soap on my shaved head). Lovely people stopped and talked to me, and many went away with copies of my poetry books. Thanks to Dave and Mary, Emma, Sriya, Wren, and Homa and Ali. And I traded with Thomas Rider for a beautiful print of his painting of a raven.

A BANNER DAY!

Marc Thomas inspecting the new banner for Ruminating Poet Press.

I haven't figured out how to include two pictures in one post. In addition to printing the play mentioned in the post immediately below, Alphagraphics Savannah printed a fine new banner for me to use at literary festivals and general author and book events. Thanks to Jordan for a fine job, and to Jess for reproducing the logo beautifully.
